Puff Puff Tiramisu - A Delicious Twist on a Classic Dessert

Puff Puff Tiramisu - A Delicious Twist on a Classic Dessert

Indulgence meets tradition in this heavenly fusion of Puff Puff and Tiramisu.

Tiramisu, the iconic Italian dessert, is renowned for its delicate layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, mascarpone cheese, and a generous dusting of cocoa. But what happens when you infuse this classic with the irresistible charm of Puff Puff? You get a dessert that's not just sweet but an ode to creativity and cultural fusion.

Ingredients:

Yields: 6-8 Servings | Cooking Time: 3 hours to overnight | Prep Time: 15 minutes

  • 500g of Puff Puff | Bofrot | Mikate
  • 500g of Mascarpone Cream
  • 300g of Double Cream
  • 150g of Granulated Sugar
  • 200g of Cold Brew Coffee
  • Cocoa Powder

Top Tip: To prevent the Puff Puff from becoming soggy, halve them and bake in the oven or air fryer until they turn crispy. Finish by lightly dusting with cocoa powder.

Instructions:

1. Prepare the Cream Mixture:

In a large mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cream, double cream, and granulated sugar. Use an electric mixer to whip the mixture until it becomes smooth and forms soft peaks. This creamy blend will give our Puff Puff Tiramisu its luxurious texture.

2. Brew the Coffee:

Brew a strong cup of coffee and allow it to cool. You can use instant coffee or espresso, depending on your preference. Once cooled, pour it into a shallow dish. This is where you'll dip the Puff Puff to infuse them with coffee flavour.

3. Prepare the Puff Puff:

As mentioned in our top tip, halve the Puff Puff and bake them in the oven or air fryer until they become delightfully crispy. This step ensures that your Puff Puff Tiramisu stays perfectly textured. Let them cool.

4. Assemble the Layers:

It's time to create the magic! Take a serving dish of your choice and begin by dipping the crispy Puff Puff halves into the brewed coffee. Ensure they soak up the coffee without becoming too soggy.

5. Layer the Cream:

Now, spread a generous layer of the creamy mascarpone mixture over the coffee-soaked Puff Puff. Be lavish with it; it's where the decadence lies.

6. Repeat the Process:

Create another layer by repeating the process with more coffee-soaked Puff Puff and mascarpone cream. You can add as many layers as you like, but two is a good starting point.

7. Chill and Set:

Cover your dish with plastic wrap and let it chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, but overnight is even better. This allows the flavours to meld, and the dessert to set beautifully.

8. Dust with Cocoa:

Before serving, take a fine sieve and dust the top of your Puff Puff Tiramisu with cocoa powder. This adds that classic Tiramisu finishing touch.

9. Serve and Savour:

With each spoonful of this Puff Puff Tiramisu, you'll experience the contrast of crispy Puff Puff and creamy mascarpone, all infused with the rich essence of coffee and cocoa. It's a dessert journey worth taking.

This delightful fusion of cultures is more than just a dessert; it's a tribute to the art of culinary innovation. Share it with friends and family, and let the flavours transport you to a world where sweet traditions meet creative exploration.
